Home WELCOME portfolio Final Pieces The Death of a Working Man-Crystal skull casts, molded in silicone and cast in resin then painted in acrylic. inspiration taken from ‘Jack of the Dust’ skull works. focusing on the death of slaves during the slave trade and the crystals and riches they mined and worked so hard for but wrongfully never got any themselves.Burning Fires- Carvings of Australian wildlife etched into 3 pieces of cut wood that form a triptych, this piece is meant to be a reflection on the Australian wild fires that happened back in 2020. the wood represents the trees and the smoke represents the fires as the smoke effect was made with candle soot.Sleep, Scream, Wake, Repeat.- This image shows one of my favorite pieces which was when i explored phobias and wanted to introduce them in almost a nightmarish sequence. therefore i focused on one of the most common phobias coulrophobia and created a hellish installation with disfigured clown hanging from the door frame to the unknown of the viewers subconscious.Waste Land and Bones- Creating a full size human skeleton from three different types of wire, a wooden skull with wired features hanging from a noose. representing death in a waste land of rubbish, emptiness, a dystopian future where the world is ended and our bones are like wire and rubbish due the destruction we’ve caused this planet. Paper Seduction- paper stencils of the anatomy of the human hand layered on top of one another, each layer representing veins, muscles, flesh, nerve systems with a final layer of demonic hand shape. notice one finger cuts of at the mouth as if pulling the model back the mouth with one finger inside suggesting seductive narrative to the piece. the hand is attached to a paper snake like body which wraps around the model like a head piece therefor the piece in general is almost like a mask/ head piece.Wondrous Place- a group project between three we created a three story paper tree by twisting and tying paper together with string, adding a barn owl being tied to the scene for extra effect the tree even had roots and was the perfect scene to shoot images for my ‘paper seduction’ piece. the piece is surreal it takes away from reality and what a normal tree would be, and again almost throws the viewer into a dream state, putting us back into the unknown.Inked Up- one of my more earlier pieces i spray painted a mannequin white so i was able to illustrate a number of original tattoo designs onto the body, most with personal meanings to myself, and all carefully thought about and placed on the body, i then wrapped the body in fairy lights just to make it grab that bit more attention like a twisted Christmas tree. The Willow Man- a life size figure made completely from bent and twisted willow held together with a hot glue gun. the charcoal drawing next to the figure represents his stature and shape, also being a similar size, the shape of the figure almost took a boxers shape, very bulky and broad.Midnight Demons- charcoal portrait from Halloween night, using a projector to get the scale and proportions of the image. Demons on Halloween representing the Unknown of that haunted night. Sketch book studies Detailed drawing capturing an elder chiefDark Satire- Ronald McDonald smoking on a park bench next to a resting batwoman, scenes that are unknown to usEnd of the nun- an apocalyptic scene. fall of the church the town and Christ. voodoo is it hand.Super Satire- focused sketching on various heroes in humorous circumstances, scenes that are unknown to us.Single line drawings. (mostly) experimenting with how extravagant i can goAstronaut meets Griffin. Space is unknownTattoo designs- dot work in pen.Modern day medusa, myths and legends sexualised, Apocalypse made seductive.Alone-faceless because it has no identity, everybody feels it and its always same. that sunken feeling inside.Gods rule over our monsters.Covering unwanted comments/quotes.The moons Transformations- who knows whats out there.Political Satire- the one good thing about Trump. he always made for amazing piss taking.Elephant tattoo design requestKFC BABYYY- taking the slogan from KFC and putting it into a satiric concept, with a chciken holding a bargan bucket of human fingers with the slogan written across the image. The Unknown angel, she has no face but can mean something to everybody in one life or another.Early sketch, horror work for tattoo design requestDeadpool- colored and shaded in penDeer leaf- Leaf effect created in pen blowing through the wind.Snake rose- dotted and colouredEarly sketch forest woman, tattoo concept.Kissing lips in smoke- emerging from the smoking skull embedding in roses.-early sketchTribal Sun-tattoo concept Studio works Plaster cast of a female torso, scrim cloth left uncut over edges for a ragged and damaged effect. the illustrations on the cast have their own narrative when all pieced together, they also link to my ‘Inked Up’ piece where in both i was mixing 3D media with illustrations focusing on tattoo designs.Playing with letter stencils in print studios and free hand decorating them with foliage. rubbing the paper with my hand to add shade to the background and letters.First time making a silicone mold, and creating a resin cast, creating these playful and colorful tribal heads, which came off has a hit for commissions. And my ‘Death of a Working Man’ skulls quickly followed these little men.Playing with liquid paint spills in my sketch book trying to build layers, watering the paints down and spray painting gold and bronzes over the top, i was fond of this experiment as it reminded me of a golden mirror melting almost something an evil queen may posses.Experimenting with stencils, mark making and colors in mono printing and other print work shops and studios.A clay bear sculpture, painted, originally a prototype concept for a soap dispenser. Redrawing deer artwork from the British museum and testing the mark making in the print studio in different variations.Free hand drawn and Stenciled British Museum deer spray painted and experimented in a variety of colors and backgrounds. After some experiments i also played with the idea of putting the stencil on a bag, advertising the British museum. Ink and life drawings Ink and stick illustrations, one of my favorite ways to work, i love the mark making and scratching into the paper, the ink splodges, how it creates a older and more vintage effect to the image while at the same time being very modern and quite contemporary.Timed life drawing image, single line, in this image i really appreciate the form i captured, and love the way its almost demonic.Still life drawing of animal skulls done in charcoal, textured backgrounds bringing the image forward working on my shading.A detailed life drawing, here i notice my proportion scale reading needed work.Another Ink and stick illustration, following on from my KFC chicken holding a bucket of fingers, this is a more vulgar adaption of the slogan ‘finger lickin’ good’ represented by a demonic hand. Still taking company phrases and Slogans and placing them into different situations of satire/ dark satire.Life drawing from behind where the model is laying flat down, i found this piece particularly difficult as i had to try work around the foreshortening of the model as she lay flat in front of me.
